Gretchen has taught art in primary schools for more than 20 years, and now leads the highly regarded art programme at Island Bay Primary School in Wellington. She works with up to 30 children a day, which she finds challenging, stimulating and rewarding, learning as much from the children as they do from her.
In her own right, she is an established artist.
